Lein is the is the creative force behind Sand & Lava. The name Sand & Lava was inspired by Lanzarote. Beyond my love for this volcanic island, its colors (sand, black, white, earthy tones, and green) are truly my colors, both in fashion and interior design. With an occasional bold piece, because why not? Sand & Lava is not an average website; it's a testing ground, a concept that can go in any direction, and an expression of my personal style and way of life. Sand & Lava is always in motion, just like the sea and life.

Catching up.....

After three wonderfully relaxing weeks on Gran Canaria, I'm back in the cold Netherlands with big news! After more than 20 years of entrepreneurship in children's and women's fashion, I was ready for a new challenge. Preferably one with fewer work hours (entrepreneurship simply takes a lot of time) and great colleagues. I've found that new challenge as an internal commercial employee at a fantastic company specializing in houseplants.
Naturally, this also means changes for Sand & Lava. Pinterest, the website, Instagram, and Facebook are far too fun to give up, so I certainly won’t do that. Will I continue to do everything just as "fanatically"? Since I closed the webshop in October, Sand & Lava has become a hobby, and certainly not my only hobby...
And rumor has it that this lady will become a grandmother in the first quarter of 2025. So, the chance that new content will be less frequent is high, but it will always be made with just as much love and passion☼๑♥
